Remote Learning @ HPPS
At Hadrian Park Primary School, we understand the need to continually deliver high quality education, including during periods of remote learning – whether for an individual pupil or many. We recognise the importance of maintaining high expectations in all areas of school life and ensuring that all pupils have access to the learning resources and support the need to succeed.
For any pupils or groups of pupils self-isolating at home due to illness, COVID or unforeseen exceptional circumstances we utilise the below learning activities and resources to capture children’s learning and provide a continuous alternative option for pupils learning from home.
The work produced should be completed to the best of the child’s ability. The school expects children to maintain a good work ethic during the period of remote learning; therefore, teachers will closely monitor this and make contact on various occasions. During periods of home learning, children are accountable for the completion of their own schoolwork – teaching staff will contact parents via a range of media (phone/email/Google Classroom/Windows 365 One Drive) if their child is not completing their schoolwork or their standard of work has noticeably decreased. If your child does not have access to a suitable device for completion of work or a device fails, paper copies will be provided from school on request.
Teachers will respond in a timely manner to meet the needs of all learners. Daily assessment and feedback will be given both verbally and in writing, following our school marking codes.
