EYFS – The Den, Nursery and Reception

As you may be aware, Hadrian Park Primary School has worked alongside our Hadrian Park The Den for 2 year olds. Our Den was merged from September 2024, with Hadrian Park Under 5’s Playgroup into Hadrian Park Primary School. Jane and Amanda became Hadrian Park Primary School employees and all pupils 2yrs and 3/4yrs old pupils are registered with Hadrian Park Primary School Nursery.

We have recently completed building work to expand our old Playgroup room and from September 2024, we will have both an established 2 year old setting and 3/4yr old setting for our Nursery pupils.

If you have a child turning 2 or 3 yrs old soon and you would like to be considered for a Nursery place at Hadrian Park Primary School, please contact the school office to add your child to the Nursery waiting list via telephone or email. 0191 9170900 or info@hadrianparkprimary.org.uk.

Please note you can add your child to the waiting list as early as you like and their information will be held until your child is due to start school. Usually for a September start, parents are contacted around February time.

In Nursery, children’s learning is focused around the three Prime areas of learning: Communication and Language; Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. This allows children to develop curiosity and enthusiasm when exploring and learning. Children’s learning is further enhanced and scaffolded across the four specific areas of learning: Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World and Expressive Arts & Design.
